PREPRESS refers to the fact that a lot of work must be accomplished before artwork can be put on a printing press. Like many fields, the “digital revolution” has changed the way this work is done. More responsibility than ever is placed upon the graphic designer. Colour correction, typography, trapping settings, colour separations all used to be done by others.

This must be done by the designer or he/she may face expensive back charges from the printer. This is where we can be of great assistance to the small printer who cannot afford their own prepress department or to the designer who must prepare a “press-ready” file.

We no longer provide film with our move to our current premises but we continue to provide Digital proofs on our spectrophotometer calibrated proofing system. Digital proofs are made prior to or plates.
